Kids/Teenager Madrasah​

Kids/Teenager Madrasah (Sept 2026-July 2027) – Operating during school term times only.
Venue: The BSA centre, 26 Ferryman Rd, Lboro LE11 1GF)

Kids Madrasah / Qur’an Classes:
(Mon – Wed):

Group 1a Pre-Qur’an Class (4:40-5:40pm): Suitable for 5.5+ years. The main focus for the first few months is to familiarise the young learners to the madrasah environment. Children will be involved in light fun activities, learning duas and other aspects of Islam through colouring and play. After the Christmas break, the children who are ready will move on to the Qa’idah, learning the alphabet followed by other rules needed to read the Qur’an.

Group 1b Pre-Qur’an Class (4:40-5:40pm): Suitable for 7+ years. This class is only for children who are slightly older, and ready to start on the Qai’dah from day 1. This is usually the case for children who already had a background in Arabic, in which case, they immediately start on the Qa’idah, and work in their own comfortable pace.

Group 2a Quran Class for boys (6-7pm): This class is only suitable for boys who are already on the Qur’an. There are usually 3 qualified male teachers teaching small groups of 5-8 students recitation of the Qur’an with basic Tajweed rules. The small group sizes allow individuals to have quality learning time with the teacher.

Group 2b Quran Class for girls (6-7pm): This class is only suitable for girls who are already on the Qur’an. There are usually 3 qualified male teachers teaching small groups of 5-8 students recitation of the Qur’an with basic Tajweed rules. The small group sizes allow individuals to have quality learning time with the teacher.

Kids/Teenager Madrasah: Understanding Islam (Thursdays & Fridays):

Group 1: Middle childhood education (Suitable for 7-9year olds). See the Islamic education curriculum table below, for the subjects being taught.

Group 2: Early adolescent education (Suitable for 10-12 year olds). See the Islamic education curriculum table below, for the subjects being taught.

Group 3: Early adolescent education (Suitable for 13-15 year olds). See the Islamic education curriculum table below, for the subjects being taught.

Group 4: Early adolescent education (Suitable for 15+ year olds). See the Islamic education curriculum table below, for the subjects being taught.

Hifdh Program of Selected parts of the Qur’an:

  • This facility is only for students who are fluent in reading the Qur’an. Part of their usual lesson time will be used to learn selected Surah’s and Duas from the Qur’an & the Sunnah (Hadith).

6.       Adab/Akhlaq: Islamic Etiquettes & Morals
