Aims
Sabeelul Mustafa seeks to promote traditional Islamic education for children and adults in a modern setting. It is unique in that it adopts a holistic approach to education – addressing the whole of the human being (body, mind & soul) which corresponds to the 3 core dimensions of the religion (Islam, Iman & Ihsan). Moreover, it addresses the environment in which the individual exists in, bringing about peace and harmony at both the personal (in relation to the individual and his Creator) and social level, hence, addressing the wider society too.
Azmol Ali is an established teacher who has taught in secondary schools across the Country for over 12 years. He has an honours degree in Electronic Engineering from Manchester University, a PGCE from Loughborough University, and an MSc in Psychology which he has recently completed in 2022, from Nottingham Trent University.
He first began his studies in Islam when he was introduced to the local Tunisian Shaykh; Shaykh Tijani Gahbiche (May Allah preserve him), in 1997. He started learning Qur’anic Arabic privately for several years and after completing the Shaykhs personal syllabus, alongside studying a few books in Arabic, Azmol decided to further his studies abroad.
He headed for Syria with his family in January 2009 and spent a period of approximately two and a half years there. He initially started his studies learning classical Arabic in the international language institute in the city of Mezzeh, South-West of central Damascus. After graduating from the language school, he completed the “Ta’hili” program – an intensive preparatory Shariah program at the famous Abu Noor institute, Damascus. When the uprising disrupted his studies in Syria, Azmol was determined to continue and complete his studies, and so travelled to Egypt. He studied in Egypt privately for a few months before finally deciding to complete his studies in the traditional Islamic sciences of the Shariah at the renowned Dar al-Mustafa in the blessed and illuminated city of Tarim, Hadramout, Yemen. Under the wing of his beloved teacher, Habib Umar bin Hafiz (May Allah preserve him), he resided with his family and continued his studies for a further five years.
After approximately eight years of studying in the blessed lands, Azmol returned to the UK in November 2016 and began imparting the traditional knowledge of the Sacred Sciences in his hometown Loughborough, Leicestershire. Since then, he has been at the service of his people, delivering Islamic courses locally and beyond, by the will of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala.
As an established and experienced teacher who is blessed with both Eastern and Western education, Azmol is placed in a unique position to serve best the people around him by the permission of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala.
