Aims/Objectives:
• To give some clarity on how to practice our religion in this modern age of confusion.
• To give insights of differences of opinions between the scholars and demonstrate how this is a source of mercy from the Most Merciful, thus promoting unity and peace between oneself, friends, family, and the wider society.
• To address some misconceptions and provide sufficient knowledge for young adults to manage their future Islamic educational needs in order to prepare for the ever-changing world.
There will be plenty of opportunities for discussions throughout the course, including the positive use of the internet and social media iA.
Course details:
• Sessions will take place every Sundays from 7-8:30pm starting from Sunday 15th January 2023.
• Duration: A total of10 sessions until Ramadhan (last session on Sunday 19th March 2023).
• Venue: Loughborough Dawah Centre (LDC), 34 Woodgate, LE11 2TP.
• Fees: The fee for the course is £50 for students under 30 years of age, £60 for 30 years and over. Discounts may be given to those with genuine financial difficulties. (Free for anyone who cannot afford it).

- The purpose of human existence – discussion & contemplation.
- The Qur’an (incl. Tafsir) and Sunnah (Hadith literature).
- Comprehensive encapsulation of Religion (Islam, Iman, Ihsan).
- Islam – The 5 Pillars (with particular focus on the prayer) / Shari’ah and Fiqh.
- Iman / Aqidah.
- Ihsan / Tazkiyah – the spirit of religion.
- Meaning of Ahlus Sunnah Wa Jama’ah (The Sunni Muslims).
- The different Madhabs (School of thoughts).
- Islamic movements / groups (The destructive ‘group mentality’) – A call for Unity.
- Madhabi/non-Madhabi – Salafi – Sufi – Tablighi – The Ikhwani Muslimeen (Islamic brotherhood) – Jamaat e Islami.
- Addressing some misconceptions / Controversial Issues:
- Bid’ah
- Dhikr
- Reciting Qur’an over the dead.
- Mawlid
- Tawassul / Istighaatha and ‘grave worshipping’.
- Online education / advice on the way to seek sound Islamic knowledge.
